Lil Wayne has always been beating his own drum so there should be no surprise for fans to hear that the star got a new tattoo right on the top of his forehead. On Wednesday Rap Up reported that the "Baked" at the edge of his hairline is indeed real. The inked word has the individual letters placed in the boxes as part of the design.

The new tattoo is easy to see when looking at the rapper's face and fans might be perplexed at the meaning. A first assumption could be a drug reference, but Lil Wayne got the tattoo to signify his appreciation of skating company Baker Skateboards. Oddly the name of the company isn't the tattoo and it can be a bit confusing for those folks trying to appreciate the new ink. The rapper is also a serious skateboarder and wanted to show his appreciation to the sport in a very unique way.

While some might think it is a bit overboard to get a tattoo of a hobby, apparently Lil Wayne has gotten more serious about skateboarding than his love of lyrics. Appreciating the chance to be part of the culture, the rapper is focusing on the sport of skateboarding more than the music. Expect all that to change in 2013 when a new single comes out in February, but for now the fans can gaze at the new tattoo to understand Lil Wayne's commitment to skateboarding.
