I know the song has generated a whole lot of revenue. Right now, I and Tuface have joint ownership of that song. But from the inception it was not like that. My publisher, BMI had to find a way to work that out. All the funds the song has been generating I'm supposed to have 50 per cent of it, which I'm not getting and I don't just know what is happening. There is even a situation whereby somebody in Jamaica sang African Queen and some other persons like that of which I was not aware. Nobody told me that he was going to sing my song. So, there are some issues that I and Tuface need to sit down and iron out, but Tuface is difficult to get on the table. So I have decided to do it on my own. Surely, with time we'll get to the root of the matter because we both have 50 per cent right to the song.
That means Tuface has been cheating you
Yes, because I was not being paid and you know the way it is in Nigeria, the ideology is that because one is not on one particular record label they won't put his name to a song he wrote just because they don't want to promote the person. But the fact is that your intellectual property remains you intellectual property, nobody can take that away from you.
But you sang your own version of the song
Yes, I have a reggae version of African Queen, which I'm still going to re-record. I did that because there was a time some people were trying to claim ownership of the song.
Did you ask him to include the song in his album?
Yes, we wrote it together and I gave him permission to do so because when he was recording his album we were still living in the same apartment. I found out that the album was not making any sense, so I told him that the only thing that will allow the album to make sense is to include the song African Queen which we both wrote. But I didn't say he should take away my own right. That is the rider. For the fact that I wrote a song for you to perform does not mean you should claim it and deprive me of my own right.
Who came up with the idea of the song?
It was actually one Idoma man called Willy Walkman. He told us to do a song for his soap opera and the title of the soap opera was African Queen that we should write a theme song for the soap. We started writing in earnest. Then one day he just came and was like, we are not serious about it that he didn't want to be our manager again not knowing that we were already doing what he asked us to do. That was how he threw us out. So African Queen was Willy's idea.
Why did you allow Plantashun Boys to die?
There was no agreement that we would split but we all knew when we started that the group won't last. We all used the group as a platform to build our music careers. Plantashun Boys was my idea. The names, Faze and Tuface, was my idea. I gave them those names. But I don't always dwell on that because that is an old story. Right now, it's all about my fans, my career and my new album. Then, everybody just wanted to go solo. People just think that there's a story behind our split but there's none.
Who was the first to come up with the idea of going solo?
Don't you know who released his first album when we went solo?
Let's assume I don't know
Tuface was the first to release his album and we all know it, even then we were still living together.
How did you feel when he left the group?
How else will I feel when I already knew it would happen? The fact is that when Tuface released his album we never expected him to do so.
You once said that nothing will make you guys work together again, why did you featured Faze in your upcoming album?
Working as a team is different from working with Faze or Tuface alone. Like when I was in Malaysia, Faze sent me a beat that he wanted me to do on the track, I was supposed to write a lyrics on it and do the voicing, but I couldn't do it till I get back to the country. When I came back, we went to the studio and I did my own part and I left. The mixing of the song is not my business, whether it is sounding well or not, I don't have any problem to do with that because we are not working as a team.
You talk more about Faze unlike your brother Tuface, why is it so?
Yeah because Faze is just a cool guy, he's a normal guy without any problem. If I and Tuface have any reason to relate, we relate. See, you don't hide friendship, if we are friends I don't need to tell you before you know that. I don't force myself on people. Like this my guy, Skinny; we met recently and it seems as if we have known each others for years. That is what friendship is all about.
So what is your relationship with Tuface?
We are ex members of Plantashun Boys.
When was the last time you and Tuface communicated?
Omo the communication just dey o. Everybody is on his own but I communicate with Faze often.
Does that mean you are close to Faze than Tuface?
Yes, because I like a kind of people that I can discuss music with. I and Faze often talk about music, rhythm and career development. Faze is more of a person I can discuss that kind of thing with unlike Tuface.
Why is it so?
It's just natural; you can't take that away from Faze because he has always being like that. Faze is a cool guy and Tuface too. We are all just there. Na on your own level we dey.
What of your two kids, how are they doing?
They are fine, growing quick and doing very well, they are with their mum.
Why did your wife abandon you?
Nothing really happened. The fact is just that when a man is going through tribulations, not every woman will stand by him. But it's all good, I'm just trying to start my life all over again.
Is there any plan of taking her back?
We've not even discussed that yet. My priority now is me and my career. Now that I don't have any family I think it is it time to pick myself up and start all over again. I have a studio in my house; I work day in, day out, because I really want to get back to my fans. So until I feel that I'm ok then I will give that a second thought.
Does that mean your wife "took a walk" because you could no longer fend for the family?
Maybe that is what she felt; I can't question her decision. I don't know what was on her mind. That is why you need to see her and ask her. Because, myself, I cannot explain.
How often do you people communicate?
Once in a while.
What about your kids?
We talk always because they have their own phones. Caroline is 7 and Alex is going to be 5 very soon. My daughter is going to be a singer too.

Marijuana Better For Brain Than Alcohol – Study
Researchers scanned the brains of 92 adolescents, ages 16 to 20, before and after an 18-month period. During that year and a half, half of the teens — who already had extensive alcohol and herb-use histories — continued to use mary-jane and alcohol in varying amounts. The other half abstained or kept consumption minimal, as they had throughout adolescence.
The before-and-after brain scans of the teens consuming typically five or more drinks at least twice a week showed reduced white matter brain tissue health, study co-author Susan Tapert, neuroscientist at University of California, San Diego, told HuffPost. This may mean declines in memory, attention, and decision-making into later adolescence and adulthood, she said.
However, the level of herb use — up to nine times a week during the 18 months — was not linked to a change in brain tissue health. The researchers did not test performance; they only looked at brain scans.
The study was conducted by researchers at UC San Diego and is scheduled to be published in the April issue of the journal Alcoholism: Clinical & Experimental Research.
The damage occurs because white matter brain tissue develops throughout adolescence and into a person's 20s, Joanna Jacobus, postdoctoral fellow at the UC San Diego, and co-author of the study, told HuffPost.
Part of that still-developing brain tissue is where decision-making ability comes from, which can exacerbate substance use. "It becomes a cycle. If teens decrease their tissue health and cognitive ability to inhibit themselves, they might become more likely to engage in risky behavior like excessive substance use," Jacobus said.
The researchers are not sure why alcohol had an effect and marijuana did not. They said the study results cannot be considered definitive without more research. They also said they do not know if the reduced brain tissue health is permanent.
Because the researchers followed the subjects for 18 months, they were able to at least partially monitor preexisting differences in the two groups. But Jacobus conceded that eliminating other factors — such as genetics, home environment, and even minimal use of other drugs — is very difficult.
Each teen in the study received brain imaging, a detailed substance-use assessment, and toxicology screening at the beginning of the study and at the end of the study — as well as substance-use interviews every six months.

PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ Video Hits 1 Billion Views On YouTube.
PSYs "Gangnam Style" has just become the first video in the history of the Internet to reach and surpass one billion views.
Yesterday (Dec. 21), Psy's mega-hit reached this unprecedented milestone just 27 days after surpassing Justin Bieber's "Baby" as the most watched video on YouTube.
In the days after its breaking of the 803 million YouTube views record, "Gangnam Style" continued to have over 6.5 million views per day – that's 76.4 view per second.
In comparison to the second most popular video on the Internet, "Baby" likely won't cross the 1 billion view mark until late 2014, according to projections provided by Next Big Sound. Its decelerating view count currently hovers just above 300,000 per day, or only 3 views per second – a rate that is likely to continue to shrink.
"Gangnam Style" spent 5 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100, reaching the No. 1 spot before even debuting on the Hot 100. The track is now in its 15th week on the U.S.-based Hot 100, with 7 weeks spent in the No. 2 position, held from reaching the throne by Maroon 5′s "One More Night"
For a time Gangnam Style was the most listened to song on streaming platforms such as Spotify, Rdio and Mog, holding the No. 1 spot on the On-Demand Songs chart for 5 weeks.
"PSY's success is a great testament to the universal appeal of catchy music — and er, great equine dance moves," YouTube said in a statement. "In the past, music distribution was mostly regional. Even as nosy parkers gleefully wove fantastic tales around both artistes, the success of MI's award-winning song, One Naira, which was a collaborative effort with the young woman, seemed to confirm the rumour.
But they have both repeatedly denied going out on a date together. Waje once told those who cared to listen that their relationship was strictly business.
"They are just rumours. MI is a very good friend of mine and a brother. We have been able to make beautiful music together and that is a blessing I am grateful for. When we released One Naira, many fans thought a deep chemistry existed between us and that it actually manifested in the quality of the song.
"The same fans felt the chemistry was so profound that we must be involved in a relationship. As great as this sounds, the rumour is not true, I am not dating MI," she says.
And when it comes to parenting, there are no breaks or vacations. It is tougher if the job meant for two is handled by one person.
It is amazing how Waje, who is a single mother, combines her usually tight schedule with raising a child all alone. Still, she manages to cope with the pressure without much difficulty.
However, the singer admits that it is tough, even when she had braced herself for the challenges that come with the turf.
"Parenting is not an easy task for anyone. It is a full time job. Both parents have to bear the task of raising the child to become a responsible person in the society. This is something I understand. When you decide to become a parent, you have to embrace it fully. It is not always easy, but it is worth the trouble a million times over.
"Sometimes one really feels the joy of motherhood. When your child smiles at you and you watch her taking her first steps or uttering her first words, you feel really proud. Hearing her say, 'I love you' for the first time, the hugs, the moments we spend together are also part of the excitement.
"When you watch her grow from infancy to adolescence, your joy is boundless. These are priceless gifts that I wouldn't exchange for anything," she says.
Waje is not just a singer, she is a businesswoman to boot. She is on the verge of starting a clothes line and her preference is women's underwear. It is the only way she could prove that the African woman is beautiful, no matter her physical size.
"The lingerie market is focused on a particular female species globally. Full-bodied women often suffer from limited choices and that is where I intend to come in. My dream is to fit the African woman and let her know she is beautiful, no matter her physical size," she says.
Waje feels like an Amazon in an entertainment industry that is dominated by men. She loves the implied challenge and the fact she is happy that Nigerian women have begun to take charge, just like their counterparts in the United States and Britain.
She says, "I love challenges. This is a man's world and I have lots of respect for women who manage to find a place in such a world. I am lucky to be one of them. Besides, you will notice that women are beginning to make their mark in music in Nigeria.
"Of course, women are still making their mark in the USA and other parts of the world. I respect the likes of Sade Adu, Beyonce, Adele and many others for their individual drive. Sade's timeless elegance and work is an inspiration to both men and women artistes in her part of the world.
"Women are becoming vibrant now. A few years ago, finding a female on the bill of major concerts was incredibly hard. Today, it is different. I can tell you that you would find at least three females on every bill. This year, for instance, has been such a blessed one for me and other female artistes."
Anytime from now, the singer might veer into film acting. The objective is to expand her interests. And she is urging her fans not to be surprised if they see her appearing in a movie soon. "You'd be surprised. I have been given some roles in a few up-coming movies. Watch out for them," she says, adding that since music is an integral part of entertainment, nobody should be surprised when an actor or actress decides to record an album.
"In old Hollywood, you couldn't become a successful actor if you lacked the ability to sing. Singing and acting are connected. Entertainment is connected. Look at Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson, for instance. Hudson won an Oscar for her first feature movie. So, it is possible to be an actor and a musician," she notes.
Waje admits that 2012 has been a very busy year for her. So far, she has been able to record two tracks that are well received by music fans in Nigeria and in the Diaspora.
At present, she is working on a new album and it will be due for release soon. But she does not rule out the possibility of a collaborative effort with a well known foreign artiste on her forthcoming album.
"It is a massive project. People should get ready to listen to some of the best sounds they have ever heard. Yes, the album in progress is that good. It involves massive collaborations with artistes in the country and internationally. It is going to be a unique mix of sounds, emotions and genres that you can still identify as Waje's sound," she says.
Planning ahead, she said her prayer is to win a Grammy award and also do a duet with American singer, Beyonce.
"I would love to share the same stage with Beyonce doing a duet! A Grammy is also in the plans. What this means is that I'm working towards getting my music to a global audience. By God's grace, we already on that path with my album," Waje says.

Facebook Tests Charging $1 To Inbox Non-Friends
Launched in 2011, the "other" folder is where Facebook routes messages it deems less relevant. Not quite spam, these include messages from people you most likely don't know, based on Facebook's reading of your social connections. Many users ignore this folder.
Now, users will be able to pay $1 to route their messages to non-friends. Facebook said Thursday that it is testing the service with a small percentage of individuals — not businesses — in the U.S.
Facebook said in an online post. "For example, if you want to send a message to someone you heard speak at an event but are not friends with, or if you want to message someone about a job opportunity, you can use this feature to reach their Inbox," ....."For the receiver, this test allows them to hear from people who have an important message to send them."

Twelve Surprising Facts About Cheating
They're largely satisfied with all they have and aren't looking for a way out, yet they still find themselves in bed with other women-and in hot water with their wives. Here, experts explain this phenomenon and dispel other popular cheating myths.

Fact #1: Most men are still in love with their wives when they cheat.
Men who cheat haven't fallen out of love; they've become unsatisfied with the current state of it. "Cheating usually occurs in the phase of companionate love, when couples begin to settle down, have kids and solidify the life being built together," says clinical psychologist Andra Brosh, PhD. While they're fulfilled in some areas, like being a provider, the romance may be missing. "We more often think of women complaining about a lack of romance, but men feel it, too," says Dr. Brosh. "They frequently suffer in silence, believing they can't get what they want from their spouses." To avoid this in your marriage, plan nights out together, set aside time for sex and discuss hopes and dreams--not just workdays and your son's last soccer game.
Fact #2: Men usually cheat with women they know.
Cheaters don't generally pick up random women in bars. "My first husband cheated on me with a childhood friend," says Diane* from New York City. "His family was close to her family, so they never lost touch." Intimacy expert Mary Jo Rapini explains, "A lot of women think that all cheating women are floozies-not true. The relationships are usually friendships first." In fact, more than 60% of affairs start at work, according to Focus on the Family. A good idea: Make sure your husband feels more connected to you than to his business partner. "Spouses go to work, take care of their kids and do separate things at night. That has to stop," says Rapini. She suggests always going to bed at the same time and cuddling.

Fact #3: Men cheat to save their marriages.
"Men love their spouses, but they don't know how to fix their relationship problems, so they go outside their marriages to fill any holes," says licensed marriage and family therapist Susan Mandel, PhD. Men want it all and have the skewed notion that another woman will make the longing for something more disappear. Then, they can live happily ever after with their wife--and their mistress--without confronting the real issues.
Fact #4: Men hate themselves after affairs.
You may think of cheaters as men without morals, but while they may like what they did, they tend to despise themselves after their indiscretions. "If he puts his ego to the side, he'll feel like a piece of garbage," says relationship expert Charles J. Orlando, author of The Problem with Women...Is Men. "After all, he's betraying another human being who he claims to care about, so that takes its toll on every part of his psyche." A cheater can feel as though he's failed as a man.
Fact #5: Cheaters often get friskier with their wives when affairs begin.
Just because a husband's touchy-feely doesn't mean his marriage is on firm footing. "When a man starts cheating, he becomes hyperactive sexually," says Rapini, explaining that his sex drive has been awakened, and his wife is still the one with whom he feels most comfortable sexually. If you notice a sudden change in your husband's sex drive, it should raise a red flag. Be on the lookout for the switch to flip off again. "After the affair is solid, he may begin to pull away," says Rapini.
Fact #6: Women cheat just as much as men, and their affairs are more dangerous.
An Indiana University study shows that men and women cheat at the same rate. But "the reasons the sexes cheat are different," says Orlando. He explains women are more likely to cheat for emotional satisfaction. "Online cheating--without any physical contact--is the most damaging type of infidelity," says Orlando. Becoming emotionally invested in another person means you've likely checked out of your marriage. But if it's just sex, it's less about attachment and more about a hurtful mistake.
Fact #7: A wife often knows her husband's cheating.
How could Tiger Woods's ex, Elin Nordegren, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's ex, Maria Shriver, not have known what their high-profile husbands were up to? They probably did, but couldn't bear to acknowledge it. "At one level, I knew, but my denial was so strong," says Lily* from Toronto, Canada. "The pain, had I accepted it at that time, would have been too horrendous, so I had to process it slowly." According to Dr. Brosh, the jilted celebrities were likely doing the same thing: choosing what they could live with for the sake of their kids or to avoid humiliation and the fallout.
Fact #8: A couple will never work it out when the husband is in the midst of an affair.
They could agree to work on things, but it won't matter. If he's still in the throes of a hot, new romance, nothing a woman does will drag him out of it. "He's got such positivity happening, without all the drama that exists in the established relationship," says Orlando. The marriage will likely fail, unless he decides on his own accord that life isn't better with the other woman. So the key is prevention. Continue to be the woman he first fell for throughout your marriage. "Women often turn from a loving girlfriend into a nagging wife. Men aren't attracted to that." Dole out compliments and surprise him with sex--don't just yell at him about that towel on the bathroom floor, suggests Dr. Mandel.
Fact #9: Affairs can often fix a marriage.
Is infidelity the kiss of death for a couple? Not always. Although a new relationship is exciting, "an affair can rekindle the marriage," says Orlando. "Men realize who they want for the rest of their lives and that the new relationship isn't as perfect as they thought." But think hard before returning to a cheater. "Flings can highlight how little self-control someone has," explains Orlando. Still, if it was truly a one-time slip, it's possible to get back on track.
Fact #10: Even after rebuilding the marriage, a husband may still miss the affair.
Sadly, he might love his wife and want to salvage the marriage, but he doesn't totally forget about the affair. "He might miss the great things about the other woman-fun, zero responsibilities, sex, the rush or the chase--but oftentimes he misses how he feels about himself when he was with her, which is more damaging if he's trying to return to his marriage," says Orlando. Again, acting as you did when the relationship was new could help.
Fact #11: A cheater knows he's hurting the woman he loves, tearing his family apart and sacrificing his honor.
A man may realize the negative impact on his wife, family and himself, but still continue an affair. How? "It's all in the perception of the cheater," says Orlando. "If he feels unwanted, undervalued and taken for granted, his personal needs of being wanted, valued and appreciated will win out."
Fact #12: The wife's not to blame if her husband cheats on her.
Realize this: If your husband is unfaithful, it's not your fault, no matter what people say. "When a man cheats, he's making a conscious choice to do it," says Dr. Brosh. "The idea of being pushed into the arms of another woman is an expression, not a reality." Orlando echoes this sentiment: "Men don't cheat because of who she is; they cheat because of who they're not," he says. "The 'fault' is that the signs of disconnection have been ignored by both parties."

"I am too young for all that” – Iyanya speaks on Tonto, Yvonne Nelson and Desire
Iyanya has come a long way since the release of his hit single; 'Kukere.'
It was probably one of the biggest records of this year.
In this interview with Hiphop World Magazine, he talks about the success of the record, his upcoming album and clarifies issues on a certain love triangle. Enjoy
HHW: You recently broke a record. Was it an African record, world record? Tell us about it
Iyanya: The caller tunes record was for Africa. First artist to reach 3million caller tunes downloads. I'm thankful to God, to the fans. You know you can do a whole lot with N50, even if it's to buy pure water, it's something. But 3million people downloaded my song and I really appreciate it, I'm thankful.
HHW: When you recorded the song did you see all this coming?
Iyanya: I didn't see it man. I didn't see close to 5million YouTube hits. There's a whole lot of things that people don't know yet that they will know about 'Kukere'. It's unfolding by the day. I didn't see it. When I recorded that song, I had a grand in my pocket and I was screaming 'I get money oooh'. So it's just a blessing.
HHW: And we heard Mtech brought a cheque to you. Do you want to share?
Iyanya: No I can't do that. I got a cheque though. Big ups to M-tech.

HHW: So the whole issue of Yvone Nelson, Iyanya, Tonto Dikeh and probably a Tiwa Savage in the mix
Iyanya: Whaaat!
HHW: You heard, you saw the tweets?
Iyanya: Yeah I saw the tweets. First of all I need people to understand that blogs will write they have to write so they can get hits. There's a price to pay for fame. People have access to you, they can say anything about you. But I just want people to know, before they say a word, do not forget that I have not said anything. I have not told you that I'm dating A or dating B. On this interview, I repeat that I am a single guy married to my music and my hustle. I'm too young for all that, I'm just young and getting it right now.
I remember very well that I made it clear that I'm friends with these mentioned people. I am not dating anybody, and I am not dating anybody as we speak. If you check my tweets, my TL, you'll see that I refused to say anything about it o reply. I appreciate all the love that I get, but I just want to say something, most of the things that you see on Twitter, Facebook, that you check on blogs and all that. Sometimes, it's just buzz.
HHW: Iyanya Versus Desire. We've gotten four singles already. 'Flavour' the latest one.
Iyanya: And I'm dropping one more, by January. Flavour video is out next week. It was shot and directed by Moe Musa in London, and then IVD drops February
HHW: Why that title? Iyanya Versus Desire
Iyanya: You know how it all started. When I was in Calabar back then, I started as Desire. Even till now, they don't say Iyanya, they say Desire. Desire was the soul, love truly, inlove guy and I realised that till now, people still love that guy, they still love Desire. So my album is a combination of the old me which is like the real me and the Iyanya, the 'Kukere' guy that you guys have made me, because 'Kukere' was not me.
Everybody knows I am a soul singer but because of the fact that as an artiste you have to be versatile, you have to read your environment, study it. Which by God's grace myself, my team and a few people around me were able to study for about four years and I just tried 'Kukere'.
IVD is just Iyanya, Desire. R&B, Pop. Iyanya is a musician that's a hustler. Desire is the guy that says how he feels. That's the whole idea. So when you get my album you don't say, this guy should have just sang now or this guy should have just been giving us dancing. You can say I wanna listen to R&B and I wanna listen to pop.
HHW: Do you have any other thing you'd like to share
Iyanya: Nothing else man. Just to say, i love my fans. Without my fans, this would not be possible. I remember about two years ago when I had just about 5, 000 followers on twitter. Among those 5, 000 some were telling me, Iyanya why don't you just change something, people love you as a singer, why don't you try something else.
Among that 5, 000 I had followers telling me Iyanya, I believe in you. I know you can be a bigger brand. And those people that when I said I wanna be on your show, they were like, what you gonna sing. People don't wanna sleep. Those people made me today and I just wanna say bigups up to you, thank you.

5 things to do to win back your ex

Escape your problems for a while by taking your relationship out of its normal, worn out and old patterns in favor of something new and more facilitating of a good healthy relationship.
5 – If you really want ex back, you are going to have to facilitate a shared feeling of destiny. If you really want ex back, then you are going to need to create what is essentially a shared sense of destiny because life is something that we are responsible for creating as we go along. In a megacity where everybody loves to dance, the tone is set by the infectious sounds of Afrobeats — a growing music movement that's struck a chord with youth in West Africa and outside the continent.
Although its name sounds similar to Afrobeat – the eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary sounds pioneered by firebrand multi-instrumentalist Fela Kuti — Afrobeats is a new genre on the Anglophone West African music scene.
Back in late 1960s, Kuti, one of Africa's biggest music stars, used his electrifying grooves and sharp-tongued lyrics as a political vehicle to oppose Nigeria's military governments.
Afrobeats, however, tends to steer clear from politics. Its mission, says well-known Nigerian music promoter Cecil Hammond, is to make people forget their everyday troubles and have a good time.
"Africa can be very stressful," he explains. "So you need things to make you loosen up and make you happy — and music makes Nigerians happy."
Hammond says that Nigerian music today has changed a lot since the days of Kuti, who died in August 1997.
"Nigerian artists don't really want to get into politics," says Hammond. "They tend to stay far away from it because at the end of the day, you have different political parties, you don't want anyone to say you belong to this party or that party.
"The more neutral you are, the better — so just focusing your music, give us good music, let everybody dance and that's it."

Musically, however, the influence of Kuti is clearly evident on the new generation of Afrobeats artists.
DJ Abrantee, a UK-based Afrobeats champion, says the new sounds derive from Afrobeat, having evolved over the years with various Afrobeats musicians experimenting to suit their individual styles.
"[With] the inclusion of non-traditional instruments, electronic sounds, grooves, synths, hip-hop kicks, it has become more than just the one typical style of beat used in the 1970s," he explains. "It is now an amalgamation of beats."
But who are some of the hottest names making strides in the Afrobeats scene? Here, Abrantee picks five stars whose are breaking through commercially on the world stage.
WizKid
"WizKid is without a shadow of doubt on the verge of a worldwide explosion," declares Abrantee, who describes the Nigerian Afrobeats singer as a "young talented guy who not only sings but pens some of the most musically catchy hooks in that genre." WizKid was recently signed by UK star Tinie Tempah's management company.
D'Banj
The Nigerian rapper is at the forefront of the Afrobeats scene, having enjoyed big international success with "Oliver Twist," a global hit that made it to the Top 10 in UK charts. Abrantee says "his music is infectious, fun, dynamic and appeals to the masses." In recent years, D'Banj has won several prestigious awards, including the Best African Act at the 2012 MOBO Awards.

Nigerian May7ven is a UK-based Afrobeats artist and singer-songwriter who is well known for her dancing. "Her bold and catchy anthems in a predominately male-dominated industry have been leading the way and carrying the international flag for the ladies in Afrobeats," says Abrantee.
Atumpan
The Ghanaian artist, also known as "the talking drum," has had success with "The Thing," a massive hit on dance floors in Africa and beyond. "The dexterity and distinctness of his soulful voice complements his records and puts him in a firm position to have a long lasting career," says Abrantee.
R2Bees
R2Bees is a super group featuring Ghanaian artists Paedae and Mugeez, produced by Killbeats, who is responsible for some of the biggest hits coming out of the West African country. Abrantee says they are the "Afrobeats group to watch" in 2013, pointing to the anticipated release of their new single featuring UK star Tinchy Stryder.

The African Queen crooner was recently Awarded by Oxfam GB for his work and his contribution towards alienating hunger from Nigeria and Africa, raising awareness on current situations and mobilizing citizens to take action.
At an investiture ceremony that took place on December 13 2012 at the A-Class Park Hall in Maitama Abuja, 2Face, alongside Oxfam spokespersons Lami and Sound Sultan, were presented with a plaque in recognition of their commitment to the course of ensuring that the famine experienced in Africa recently is the last famine Africa would ever experience.
Here's what the super star said while receiving his award, "I'm not only proud but blessed to have been handpicked to be involved with such a noble course. I'm thankful for all my blessings, but there are millions across Africa who are not able to feed even once a day. My sincere conviction is that governments across Africa can resolve the issue of famine once and for all."
In the past twelve months, the artiste has been actively involved in Oxfam's Grow campaign. He made an appearance in the Big Brother house where he spoke extensively about the level of hunger in Africa and encouraged the housemates to use their new found celebrity life to affect a drastic change. The artist alongside Lami and Sound Sultan, had recorded the Act 4 Africa single which has been released all over the world.
Without any doubt the most accomplished artiste of his generation, 2Face Idibia put out his first recording Body & Soul as a member of the trio Plantashun Boiz in 1999. Thirteen years later, having gone through more ups and downs to panic even a seasoned stockbroker, the artiste has emerged a newer, stronger brand winning several awards for all of his past releases. This year, he added his fifth studio album, 'Away and Beyond', to his catalogue.

Tonto Dike Confirms Plan To Release Album
The 27-year-old made this known during a recent interview with Rhythm FM OAP, Biggy.
The controversy-loving actress says she set out to have fun with music but has since decided to make an album which will be due for release soon.
In her usual manner, Miss Dike did not seem bothered about acceptability, 'I really wanna take music far because I know y'all are going to listen', she says.

The 30-year-old Zambia captain beat off competition from Demba Ba, Didier Drogba, Younes Belhanda and Yaya Toure to become the first winner from southern Africa in the history of the award.
The African cup of nations winner is currently playing for a Chinese super league club Henan Construction FC.
Katongo said it was a fantastic moment for him and he is thanking the people who voted for him; he said is something he will never forget in his career.

Styl Plus Split, Tunde Changes Name And Sets Up Record Label
The R&B group, which comprised of Shifi, Zeal and Tunde, have struggled to recapture the success they achieved with their debut album, which had tracks like 'Run away', 'Olufunmi', etc. Their second album 'Unbreakable' and new singles did not get much attention.
Tunde, a member of the group has decided to go solo, re-branding himself as NativeBoy.
