GIST : POLICE REFUSE TO RELEASE CYNTHIA OSOKOGU'S BODY IN LAGOS. BURIAL TAKES PLACE Without HER BODY

The burial ceremony of late Miss Cynthia Osokogu is set to take place without her body as the police in Lagos State has refused to release the corpse, until they have finished the autopsy on the body at the Ikeja General Hospital morgue.

The autopsy was scheduled for yesterday, but Police Commissioner Umaru Manko said that the pathologist did not complete the autopsy and hence the decision not to release Cynthia's body for burial was taken.

Cynthia Osokogu was killed in July 22 2012 by facebook friends she went to visit in Lagos. They say the autopsy must be carried out since it is a vital evidence to the trial of the murder suspects. What's the autopsy for again, shebi those guys have confessed they killed her? Forgive my ignorance.

The family conducted a ceremonial burial for her since they could not wait any longer for the police to release her body. The burial took place today Sept 07 2012 at Agbor, Delta State.
