WHEN 'HE' LIES

Some men lie to preserve their ego while sometimes they just lie so as to get out of a tight corner or pressure they find themselves especially if the truth will get them in trouble. They even go as far as call the lies names like white lie i.e its harmless.

Even though these small fibs may seem harmless these little lies can undermine a sense of trust in a relationship. When there is no foolproof way to say your man is lying here are some tips with which you can tell:

1. Take a mental picture of his usual behavior- how does your man behave verbally and non verbally when he is relaxed. It is only when you are aware of this you would be able to pick up changes in his body language, speech and tone of voice when he is lying.

2. Ask assumptive questions-in this case you might assume he went to lunch and ask 'who did you end up going to lunch with yesterday?

3. Focus on his eyes-if he has trouble maintaining eye contacts with you he might be lying when lying someone looks around as if he were searching for answers.

4. Ask for an encore-after a few days ask the same question in details most times if its a lie he will find it hard to repeat all specifics or remember then the way it was the first time if the story doesn't match up he is probably lying.

5. He has an answer for everything-watch out for perfect excuses or too buttoned up and well rehearsed answers. if you find yourself making sense out of something that doesn't make sense stop yourself.

6. The detail doesn't just add up-generally liars mess the detail of their story look beyond what he is saying if it makes sense try to be an objective observer of his behavior.

7. He doesn't want to get personal: if your man is unnecessarily distant keeps to himself most times then he is probably hiding something don't be deceived if your man says I don't want to discuss that' A good guy would appreciate your depth of questions a liar would not.

8. He yells and is angry at a question-when your man yells, snaps and gets angry at a question he is lying about the answers he is looking for a quick way to get out of the question which means he might just be lying about it.
